The aussies are back. And I think it’s still good. A little bit too ‘pop’ for me, but hey, that’s still Pendulum!
My preference still goes to Hold Your Colors, which is ,in my personal opinion, the best drum’n'bass album ever.

Bayonetta est un jeu au nom un peu bidon. Mais il a l’air vraiment tres prometteur. Le trailer est tout simplement magnifique. On sent la patte du createur de Devil May Cry, Hideki Kamiya.

That’s it, Radiohead reach the final frontier with their latest videoclip, House of cards. This video has been made without any camera or lights : it’s just a compilation of laser-based data. Basically, it’s only data. Everything has been mixed with Flash and a modified version of Papervision (2.0, Great White). The result is really amazing. And there’s more : an interactive version you can see here.

Radiohead vient de franchir l’ultime frontiere avec son dernier clip, House of cards. Cette video a ete realisee sans camera ni lumieres : c’est le resultat de la compilation de donnees prises par des lasers. Tout ce que vous voyez est une representation de ces donnees dans l’espace, de points que les lasers ont enregistres. Ces donnees ont ete compilees dans Flash avec une version modifiee de Papervision (2.0 Great White). Le resultat est vraiment incroyable. Encore mieux, cette technologie a permis de faire une version interactive du clip, visible ici. Pour ceux qui voudraient travailler sur cette technologie, Google Code heberge un projet pour ca ici. It’s already friday and I know you need a cool, casual flash game to pass the day, so here it is : Magic Pen. The goal of this game is really simple : you need to push the ball to the flag. you can draw forms, those forms have a weight, can speed up with gravity, thanks to a custom physics engine. You can bind forms with pins and also add hinges to make pendulums for example. It’s as simple as it’s addictive.

It sounds very easy at the start, but finishing that game is really complicated. Starting that game is your choice ; I warned you folks, don’t blame me for ruining your week-end after that!!

As you may know, the next gen iPhone will be available soon in the UK, on the 11h july. So you may ask yourself lots of questions about that.
I let to all top tech blogs the technical part, this article is only about the money you will have to spend.
First of all, o2 got 2 offers :

- pay monthly : starting at £30/month + the phone (£99 for 8Gb and £159 for 16Gb)
- pay as you go (unofficial, but I think it will be very close to that) : £300 for 8Gb and £360 for 16Gb. Wifi is unlimited the first 6 months, and £10 per month after that.

All monthly contracts are for a 18 months minimum term. So let’s do the maths :

Pay monthly : 18 * £30 + £159 (16 Gb) = £699 for 18 months of unlimited web + 75 minutes + 125 texts
Pay as you go : 12 * £10 + £360 (16Gb) = £480 for 18 months of unlimited web

So if you planned to use you iPhone mostly for web browsing, email and just a few calls, I think you’d better take it as pay as you go. If you really need an hour of phone time, texts, and cant wait for that emerging voIP on iPhone, take the contract.

Oh and if you need to use your phone to call or receive calls outside of the UK, don’t trust any phone company in Europe : it’s always really expensive. O2 says : “you can get really good prices on roaming”. That’s clearly bullshit. I mean if you compare to local call or abroad calls with Skype, it’s a complete scam. Alternatives like Fring are already here and like Skype on your computer it cost around nothing.
